Jim Lieberman, our President, is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, has a B.S. degree in chemistry from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. from the University of Colorado. He founded and leads THC Safety and serves clients as a senior safety and compliance professional.

He is the author of A Practical Guide for Hazardous Waste Management, Administration and Compliance, The Business of Environmental Health & Safety Management and Cannabis Concentrate Production, Processes, Hazards and Controls

In 1984 Colorado Mountain College awarded Jim as instructor of the year and in 2009 he was honored by American Industrial Hygiene Association – Rocky Mountain Section as Industrial Hygienist of the year.

Mr. Lieberman has been and an invited speaker presenting for the America Chemical Society, The American Industrial Hygiene Association and private industry groups.

Michael Sulka, our Engineer team member, is currently licensed as a Professional Engineer in CO, WY, AZ, CA, GA and MO. His areas of expertise include mechanical and plumbing systems, facility planning, system design, process controls and instrumentation design, PLC/HMI programming & controls, and construction management.

His recent experience included cannabis extraction process; equipment review & certification and cultivation & extraction facility engineering. Mike is knowledgeable, through and solves problems creatively.

Ugljesa Janjic, our Architect team member offers a comprehensive range of innovative architectural solutions in support of marijuana facilities. For the last four years he has been a pioneer in this expanding and ever-changing field providing design services for cultivation, extraction and infused products. He creates Architecture that has created value for clients by delivering innovative, effective and sustainable solutions that support business growth and future expansion.

Ben Lieberman –Ben is a Project Engineer for THC. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in May 2016 with a major in Civil Engineering. Before joining THC Safety, he was interning in the engineering department with General Contractor James W. Glover, Honolulu, HI. He has experience in estimating with tasks such as interpreting plans and preparing takeoffs, representing the firm at bid openings and project meetings, taking measurements and drawing plans. He is proficient at preparing proposals, force accounting, creating submittals, invoicing, scheduling, and executing other critical project engineering tasks.

Sam Schanfarber- Sam is the Communications Officer for THC-Safety. He closely studies Colorado regulations to help ensure that clients of THC-Safety are in complete compliance with state law. He also helps clients meet the physical demands of their businesses, providing in-depth information on the industrial and safety equipment required to succeed in the marijuana industry. He is skillful at writing Standard Operating Procedures tailored to the unique operations of individual clients, and conducts site employee interviews to guarantee no detail is left out. Sam is responsible for all of THC Safety’s marketing activities.

An award-winning journalist, Sam has over six years of experience in writing and editing, and has presided as an editor of several publications. Sam studied Political Science and Journalism at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
